What is involved?

This page is designed to give you an idea of the roof restoration process. The following steps must be taken to complete a successful roof restoration. All our roof restoration work comes with a 10 year warranty.

Step 1.)  Replace all broken tiles. Broken tiles are unsightly and will cause leaks. Changing any chipped or broken tiles is one of the first steps in roof restoration.

Step 2.) Cleaning roof tiles and gutters. This is done with a high powered industrial 4000psi pressure washer. The tiles are stripped back of any dirt, mold or old paint and prepared for painting.

Step 3.) Bedding and pointing. Repairing any cracks in the bedding along ridges and hips is important to keep the roof watertight.

Step 4.) Applying the primer/sealer coat. The roof coatings are applied with an airless spray gun. The first coat is a primer, which seals the tiles and creates an ideal surface for the coloured membrane.

Step 5.) Applying the colour coats. Two thick coats of coloured roofing membrane are applied.

Step 6.) Clean site. The site is then cleaned thoroughly and any rubbish is removed.

Most jobs of average size are completed within 2-3 days.
